Bach Flower Essences

Bach flower essences, also known as Bach flower remedies, were developed by Dr. Edward Bach, a British physician in the early 20th century. These remedies are based on the belief that emotional and mental imbalances can contribute to physical health problems, and that by addressing these emotional states, individuals can experience improved well-being and health. In general, flower essences allow you to become your best self and confront your shadow side if need be. Bach flower essences are derived from the essences of specific wildflowers, trees, and other plants. Dr. Bach believed that these natural substances held the potential to balance emotional and mental states.

Dr. Bach developed a system of 38 different flower remedies, each associated with a specific emotional or mental state. For example, Rescue Remedy is one of the most well-known Bach flower remedies and is often used for stress and anxiety.

Bach flower remedies are considered gentle and non-invasive. They are prepared by infusing the flowers in water, and the resulting essence is preserved in a small amount of brandy or another alcohol. They are taken in a tincture dropper bottle and have little to no taste.

A person's emotional and mental state is assessed to determine which specific remedies may be most appropriate for their needs.

Bach flower essences are used to address a wide range of emotional and mental states, and they are often employed for conditions such as:

  • Stress and Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Fear and Phobias

  • Grief and Loss

  • Low Self-Esteem and Self-Doubt

  • Relationship Issues

  • Emotional Healing and Personal Growth
